Privacy Policy and Compliance with Quebec’s Law 25
The West Island Cancer Wellness Centre (WICWC) is committed to ensuring that any personal information with which it has been entrusted is handled ethically and, as such, is in the process of creating a Code for Protection of Personal Information in compliance with Quebec Law 25. The West Island Cancer Wellness Centres’ Board of Directors wholeheartedly affirms its unwavering dedication to upholding the principles and provisions delineated in the Code. We assume full responsibility for its implementation and steadfast adherence. The collection of information by the WICWC is done solely to carry out its responsibilities of the organization to support cancer patients and their loved ones, and to fulfil the WICWC fundraising goals.
We recognize the right of any individual to raise concerns regarding our compliance with the Code and assure timely and thorough responses to such inquiries. Furthermore, any individual retains the right to contest the accuracy of information within our possession about them. If such concerns are deemed valid, we will make the necessary adjustments promptly.
Debbie Magwood, Director General and Melanie Richter, Director of Fund Development have been appointed the Privacy Officers for the WICWC. If User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include the organization’s news, updates, related program or service information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
