The West Island Cancer Wellness Centre (WICWC) is here for you. Whether you’re navigating your own diagnosis or supporting someone you love, we provide compassionate care and essential support tailored to your journey. As a registered charity, our welcoming Centre in the West Island of Montreal offers in-person programs, while our virtual classes connect individuals across Canada. At WICWC, no one living with cancer is ever alone.
Our mission is to empower individuals living with cancer by offering them compassionate support and thorough information across the 7 Pillars of Wellness. These pillars encompass Physical, Emotional, Spiritual, Informational, Systemic, Practical, and Social aspects of well-being.
Every person’s experience with cancer is unique, and so is every need. At the West Island Cancer Wellness Centre, we take the time to listen to your story — your fears, hopes, and the things you may not have even shared with your doctors. We offer customized wellness plans that evolve with you because we understand that your needs change as you heal.
Whether through one-on-one counseling, integrative therapies, or our community of individuals who “get it,” we offer a space for you to feel safe, heard, and empowered.
Healing is a shared journey, and we are here to support both individuals living with cancer and their supporters. By caring for both, we create a stronger, more connected community where everyone can thrive together.
Rooted in the 7 Pillars of Wellness, our personalized approach integrates physical recovery, emotional resilience, and mental well-being. Through innovative therapies and compassionate support, we meet you where you are, helping you find strength, peace, and dignity.
At the West Island Cancer Wellness Centre, we take a whole-person approach that complements traditional treatments, helping individuals living with cancer regain control of their well-being. While we support cancer patients, we do not provide medical treatment or clinical therapies. Our focus is on wellness and quality of life.
Cancer affects more than just the body—it touches emotions, relationships, and daily life. Our programs provide support, community, and resources to help navigate these challenges.
Our services are FREE and offered remotely or in person by a team of professional experts who volunteer their knowledge and resources.
We understand that when someone is diagnosed with cancer, it can have a profound impact on their loved ones. That’s why we have created resource lists to provide support for all those living with cancer, whether directly or through a family member or friend.
Our resource lists are designed to support children, teenagers, and young adults, as well as their caregivers, teachers, and bereaved loved ones.
Professionals volunteer their expertise, enriching our services and making a meaningful impact.
