Student Position: Program Development
Duration of contract: Upwards of 240 hours commencing in July
Reports to: Executive Director

Job summary:

Excellent opportunity to help further design and implement a National Cancer Wellness initiative. The position will involve strategic planning, research and intervening with those impacted with cancer, from across Canada. Please note that there will be administrative duties included in this position.

This is a Canada Summer Jobs initiative (must be a student or recent graduate, under 30 years old). The position is for 240 hours to be completed any time between July to February.

The perfect candidate is compassionate (possibly with a Social Worker, or nursing or social science background), strategic (a passion for research is an asset), hard worker and reliable.

Duties:

  • Research and planning
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Responding to calls by providing information, referrals and resources
  • Assist programming team with other projects as required.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in Cegep or University or recent graduate
  • Bilingual
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Strong computer skills
