General Health & Safety Procedures

  • The building will be disinfected after each class/session and at end of day by electrostatic spraying with Vital Oxide. This product is approved by Health Canada

  • Signage on physical distancing, hygiene and directions will be posted throughout the building. We ask that you please always respect it.

  • You are kindly asked to remain 2 meters apart from others (participants, professionals, volunteers and staff (unless you are in a one-on-one session).

  • ALL jackets, purses, water bottles and personal items must always remain with you. Please bring a plastic tote bag to store your things. You will then be asked to place all your personal items in a bin that you will bring with you to your class/session. The bin will be left at the door when leaving the building. Personal items may not be left in the cloak room.

  • The number of participants in group classes will be limited to respect physical distancing. Floors of group classes (kitchen, yoga studio, etc.) will be marked at two-meter distances.

  • The library will be closed and we are unable to loan books until further notice.

Prior to entering the building:

  • Please call (514-695-9355) from the parking lot when you arrive. We will let you know when to enter. If you do not have a cell phone, please call us prior to leaving your home so we can provide you with the exact time that you will be asked to enter the building.

    • Not to worry, if you forget, there will be a volunteer available in the front to give you more information

  • Be prepared to respond to COVID-19 related questions such as:

    • Do you have any symptoms (cough, headache, sudden loss of sense of smell)?

    • Do you or have you had a fever recently? 

    • Have you been in contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days?

      • If you answer “Yes” to any of the questions, for the safety of all, it will not be possible for you to enter the building.

  • Upon leaving your car, please put on your mask.

  • At the front door, before entering, you will be asked to:

    • Disinfect your hands with hand sanitizer.

    • Put on your mask and wear it as long as you are in the building.

    • Place paper shoe covers over your shoes.

    • Wipe down the tote bag containing your personal items with disinfectant.

While you are in the building:

  • There will no longer be a sign-in sheet. The receptionist will know you have arrived because you will have called from the parking lot.

  • For your own safety, as well as that of our receptionists, please do not approach the reception desk. A smile, a wave or a hello are always greatly appreciated, though!

  • We ask that there be NO gathering, stopping to chat or any physical contact. This will be hard for everyone. Thank you for understanding that this is necessary for the safety of all.

  • Water dispensers will not be available. Please bring your own water bottle.

  • Washrooms for your use will be clearly indicated; please wipe down all surfaces that you touched during use with the disinfectant provided.

Leaving the building:

  • Please leave the building through the front door while respecting directional signage.

  • We suggest you disinfect your hands with hand sanitizer before leaving.

Additional Health & Safety Procedures for Wellness Professionals

  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of your class/session

  • Wearing of a mask and/or shield are mandatory.

  • If you are regulated by a professional agency, its COVID-19 safety protocols must be applied at the Centre.

  • Following each session:

    • All surfaces of the room used for the session must be disinfected.

    • Hands must be washed/sanitized or gloves changed.

    • Disposal of waste (paper towels, facial tissues, etc.) must be safely managed.

    • If applicable, linens must be changed and safely transferred to the laundry room.


  • If within 14 days of visiting the Centre, you or a loved one with whom you reside, become sick with COVID-19, it is imperative to let us know immediately by calling (514) 695-9355.

  • If we think you were in contact with someone who became ill with COVID-19 while visiting the Centre, we will let you know as soon as possible.

  • Should anyone who visits the Centre test positive for the virus within 14 days of their visit, we will implement a new safety protocol which will include:

    • Informing Health Canada (for tracing purposes).

      • If you are deemed at risk, Health Canada will reach out to you

    • If the WICWC is contacted to be informed that someone who tested Covid positive was in our Centre, we will proceed immediately to disinfecting the entire Centre in accordance with Health Canada regulations.
