Kind words

“As a caregiver, the Wellness centre has been an amazing help. Knowing my wife is in a safe and caring environment, doing things she enjoys and that take her mind off the cancer is huge. Life would much harder without the WICWC.”
Ian, Caregiver
“Each and every person I encountered has been a valuable help in my road to recovery. I graduated on Saturday with a happy and sad feeling. Happy that this one year after chemo has passed but sorry to be missing all the wonderful people at your Center. My whole family has benefited from ‘the yellow house’ – there is no place quite like it. Thank you.”
Sally, Graduated participant
“The Centre is at the heart of healing. Its a place where those like myself can feel safe and share, who grow stronger as we sort out & make sense of this life changing journey. I love & thank all who help financially to make this centre possible.”
Virginia, Participant
“Five+ years ago, I went through 7 months of treatment for Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I came through the process thankful for the wonderful care I received, thankful to be alive and motivated to contribute in some capacity as a volunteer for any charitable organization helping people cope with this dreadful disease. I’ve now spent close to 3 years on the BOD’s working with Debbie Magwood and her dedicated group of full & part time staff and volunteers.”
George, Chair, BOD
“I volunteer with WICWC because it is a cause that hits close to home. Having lost too many to cancer, I have seen and heard how Debbie & the WICWC team have helped support people undergoing treatments & wish my loved ones had had their support. I am a single mother and don’t have a lot of extra money to donate, but I have time & I can’t think of a better way to spend it.”
